Finance Assistant

The Job

Sales Ledger Assistant - Sheffield City Centre - Full Time Permanent

Role: Managing all cash receipts which are received

Hours: 8.30am - 5pm

Location: Sheffield City Centre, easily accessible by public transport

Salary: £15,000 to £18,000 based on experience

Working for this large, well respected and stable company you will play an integral part to the smooth running of the office.

Key Responsibilities:

*To ensure that all cash receipts are applied accurately and within timelines on a daily basis

* To comply with the cash application policy and strategy at all times

* To ensure that all customer / collector queries regarding cash application are resolved promptly.

* Place phone calls / e-mails to customers/ collectors to determine reason for discrepancies in cash amounts when they are not stated or to identify invoices being paid when it is not clear

* Identify daily discrepancies or over / underpayments

Key Attributes:

* Confident communication skills.

* Polite telephone manner

* Attention to detail.

* Previous experience in a finance company, ideally within sales ledger

* Computer literate

* Ability to work on own initiative

* Flexible and adaptable to work patterns and fast paced environment
