Kennedys to Launch in Sheffield
The New Year will see the arrival of a new brand on Sheffield’s legal scene.
Multinational law firm Kennedys is setting up an office in Sheffield. Currently they have offices in London, Belfast, Birmingham, Chelmsford, Cambridge, Maidstone, Manchester and Taunton. From New Dehli to Paris, from Dublin to Dubai, the firm’s strong commercial presence will be a very interesting addition to the Sheffield legal landscape.
70 staff will be moving from Halliwells to form the new branch. Suzanne Liversidge will head up the office, and a further 6 partners with specialist personal injury knowledge will be joining her. They will be joined by David Fearon who specialises in advocacy, civil litigation, commercial litigation and construction law.
Halliwells recently announced a 16% decrease in revenues for the first six months of the financial year, and has recently lost a series of high profile lawyers from its Manchester office, including partners Chris Gough, Tim Short and Louise Shaw who left the firm to launch a Manchester headquarters for insurance litigation firm Plexus Law.
