WANdisco to Settle in Sheffield
Digital software company WANdisco are planning to expand their Sheffield office, after securing funding of over half a million pounds. WANdisco, whose clients include BT, Dell and Honda produce software which allows people based in different countries to virtually work with each other on joint projects, as if they were physically together.
WANdisco have collaborated with development company, CreativeSheffield, to obtain a business grant worth £504,000 to expand their Sheffield offices, which should create over 40 jobs, and strengthen the city’s position as a centre for digital industries. With the help of CreativeSheffield, WANdisco moved their European headquarters to Sheffield last year, and have decided to make it their only European base after being impressed by the cities facilities and cost-effectiveness.
Despite the recession, WANdisco believe they are in a great position for the future, and are leaders in the fastest developing new media and digital sector in the UK.
