Yorkshire’s most celebrated technology entrepreneur
Lee Stafford the former chairman of Sheffield Wednesday football club has been named Yorkshire’s most prominent technology entrepreneur. Lee made his name in Sheffield as the founder of the internet provider PlusNet. The accolade was secured by Roaring Mouse a technology and PR consultancy in Sheffield.
The rankings were compiled on how frequently Yorkshire’s entrepreneurs were mentioned in national and local newspapers and social media sites. Lee has maintained a consistent presence in a wide range of media over the past few years. The shortlist consists of 25 entrepreneurs who are associated with digital and telecommunication companies in Yorkshire. Ajaz Ahmed and Peter Wilkinson founders of Freeserve took 2nd and 3rd place.
