Bezier closes down Wakefield plant
In a statement, Bezier said that after a strategic review they plan to focus on its Global Brands business headquartered in London’s Soho. 395 jobs face axe after Beizer decided to close their Wakefield plant. The Leicester office will also close too.
Commenting on the announcement, James Buckley, the chief executive of Bezier, said: “It has been an incredibly tough trading climate for print manufacturing businesses as new forms of marketing replace more traditional forms of print media”.
Bezier had lost a string of contracts, In March 2012 it was revealed that Beizer lost a multi million pound contract with Asda of 26 years and a deal with Boots thought to be worth £10m. Other blue chip customers Beizers still work with include Apple, Argos and Unilever.
