CPP announces its closure
It has been revealed that CPP in Chesterfield will close its offices on West Bar next month and around 100 people will lose their jobs. The blow comes after CPP announced their contract with RBS isn’t going to be renewed.Mike Kneafsey, CPP Managing Director said "It has been a challenging few weeks for CPP and all our people.” The contract loss will result in significantly lower profits for its packaged account business in the UK next year.
Chesterfields MP Toby Perkins visited the offices last week; he has been working with the firm for the past two years, Mr Perkins wrote to the Financial Services Authorityafter it struck a deal to bring in a costly review of the company over the mis-selling of insurance, CPP are undergoing sales procedures that could cost the business £15m.
