Role Overview:
- Client Consultation and Advice: Conduct initial consultations with clients to understand their legal issues, provide sound legal advice, and outline potential strategies.
- Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload of privately funded family law matters including divorce, financial settlements, child arrangements, cohabitation agreements, and prenuptial agreements.
- Legal Documentation: Draft, review, and file necessary legal documents such as petitions, affidavits, consent orders, and agreements.
- Negotiation and Mediation: Engage in negotiations with opposing parties and their solicitors to reach amicable settlements. Represent clients in mediation sessions as needed.
- Court Representation: Prepare for and represent clients in family courts, ensuring all court documentation is prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring they are kept informed about the progress of their case and any developments.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all activities comply with relevant legal regulations, professional standards, and best practices.
