Accounts Assistant, North Sheffield £26,000 to £28,000 plus benefits
My client is a growing, industry leading firm based in the North of Sheffield, hosting easy access to Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster. They are looking for an accomplished accounts assistant to join their growing team. This is the ideal opportunity to get into a very well established, middling sized business which happens to boast a very attractive track record of growth to date.
Reporting Directly to the Finance Manager and working within a busy finance team, you will be responsible for aspects of sales ledger and credit control as well as reporting using excel.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Raising sales invoices sales invoices
- Allocating payments and maintaining the sales ledger
- Issue weekly and monthly reports using excel
- Resolving customer queries on invoice queries
- dealing with credit control including chasing outstanding payments and liasing with managers on over due debt internally.
- Send statements to customers via e mail and post
- Creation of weekly debtor reports and accounts information for internal departments
- Deal with debtor escalation as required
- Develop a monthly debtor report
The Person
- Ideally, you will have a proven track record of working in sales ledger and or credit control and be looking to join a busy, fast paced department
- Strong excel skills would be ideal and a good grasp of integrated accounts systems for reporting
- You will be organised and methodical and a good communicator
- You will be able to multi task and work to tight deadlines
