Are you a passionate and skilled Residential Conveyancer ready to make a real impact? We’re on the lookout for a dedicated professional who’s eager to manage property transactions and deliver exceptional client service. In this role, you’ll take full ownership of your caseload, guide a talented team, and help shape the future of a forward-thinking business.
Based in Kendal, with the flexibility to work from home, you’ll be at the forefront of managing a broad spectrum of property transactions, from leasehold to new builds and shared ownership. Along the way, you’ll mentor junior colleagues and ensure that business goals and performance targets are consistently met.
What’s the Role About?
As an integral part of our busy Conveyancing Department, you’ll manage a caseload of sales and purchases, making sure that all transactions are completed smoothly, on time, and to the highest standards. You will also provide guidance to junior team members, foster team growth, and maintain an unwavering focus on delivering outstanding client experiences.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage Your Caseload: Oversee a variety of property transactions, including sales, purchases, leasehold, new builds, and shared ownership. You’ll be supported by an assistant, with flexibility to adjust workloads based on departmental needs.
- Achieve Results: Stay on top of deadlines, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are met and that transactions are progressing efficiently from start to finish.
- Meet Your Targets: Focus on meeting completion targets while ensuring an outstanding level of client service throughout the process.
- Build Relationships: Regularly liaise with clients, solicitors, panel members, and referral businesses to ensure smooth communication and transparency in all transactions.
- Mentor Your Team: Support junior colleagues, offering guidance and mentorship, and setting a strong example for both file management and professional conduct.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Participate in regular training, one-to-ones, and performance reviews to continue refining your skills and contribute to the team’s success.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure that all transactions comply with SLAs, Anti-Money Laundering regulations, and other SRA requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: You’ll need at least 2 years of experience in a conveyancing fee earner role. However, we welcome applications from more experienced candidates looking for their next challenge.
- Property Expertise: You’ll be confident managing a variety of property transactions, including leasehold, new builds, and shared ownership.
- Target-Driven: You have a proven track record of meeting targets and adhering to KPIs, driving business performance while maintaining a client-first approach.
- Self-Motivated: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are capable of working independently, and can handle multiple priorities with ease.
- Client-Focused: Your excellent communication skills ensure you provide outstanding client service every time.
- Attention to Detail: You have a keen eye for detail and the ability to spot potential issues before they escalate.
- Process-Driven: You embrace modern conveyancing practices, always striving for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
