AML Risk and Compliance Analyst Sheffield 12 month FTC
CRA Consulting are recruiting on behalf of one of our reputable clients within Sheffield. Our client is looking to bring on board an AML Risk and Compliance Anayst to complement their existing team. Our client is looking for a driven and ambitious candidate. The successful applicant would play a key role in developing the department onward into the future. This role is to cover maternity leave for a period of 12 months on a FTC.

About the Role
The primary focus of this team is to ensure client due diligence held on file is up to date, accurate and meets the firms criteria. In this role you can expect to get involved in a variety of work including:
• Conduct Due diligence on new and exisiting clients and matters from an AML and sanctions perspective .
•Undertake client and matter risk assesments considering the clients jursidication , legal, regulartory position and other commercial risk factors .
• Running company searches on all new client engagements determining if there is a PEP, sanction or negative media / press issue identified.
• Managing the client information held on the firm’s finance system in order to ensure that the information held is accuarate.
• Handling queries from fee earners and staff regarding new client forms and client data held on the firm’s finance system, and general regulatory and compliance enquiries as requried.
About You
•Ideally you will have a strong desire to learn and develop within the Risk and compliance industry along with high levels of attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge and experience of working within AML / risk and compliance is desirable although applications are welcomed from administrative backgrounds as well.
• You may be degree educated and intersted in a career in risk and compliance but this is not essential.
• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to analyse, research and make informed decisions
• A professional outlook
• Good time management skills to prioritise workloads, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent verbal, written and face-to-face communication skills
• Desire to work in a team but also self-motivated
