Assistant Accountant Sheffield £25,000 to £28,000 

My client is a leading entrepreneurial fast growing business that is going from strength to strength. With offices based in the centre of Sheffield they are looking to recruit an experienced assistant accountant to join the team. Reporting to the management accountant and being responsible for several group companies this would be a broad ranging role with exposure to a broad range of financial areas. This is a great experience building role or ideal for someone with a great all round experience looking for a varied role. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the production of timely and accurate management accounts
• Review, investigate and resolve variances
• Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
• Ensure income is captured and properly accounted for
• Assist in the year end process including liaison with auditors

Ideally, you will have a good grounding in accounts with at least one to two  years practical experience. There is a high level of variety to all aspect of accounts working within this busy team . Strong IT skills (Excel) with Sage knowledge would be ideal for this role.
