The Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a client’s team in Chesterfield. The successful candidate will handle a variety of clinical negligence cases and will be responsible for managing their own caseload as well as providing support and guidance to junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling a range of clinical negligence cases, including complex and high-value claims
- Managing your own caseload from inception to conclusion
- Conducting investigations, collating and reviewing evidence, instructing experts and preparing witness statements
- Drafting pleadings, schedules of loss, witness statements and other legal documentation
- Attending court hearings and conducting negotiations with opposing parties
- Providing guidance and support to junior colleagues
- Maintaining excellent client relationships and delivering a high-quality service
- Achieving and exceeding personal and team targets
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years’ experience in clinical negligence
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of clinical negligence law
- Experience of handling a range of clinical negligence cases, including complex and high-value claims
- Ability to manage your own caseload and provide guidance and support to junior colleagues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work on your own initiative
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Salary and Benefits:
- £35,000 – £58,000 per annum
