Role Overview & Daily Responsibilities:
- Advisory Services: Provide expert legal advice to employer clients on matters including but not limited to disciplinary actions, grievance procedures, redundancies, TUPE, and employment contracts.
- Litigation: Represent employer clients in employment tribunals and courts, preparing and managing cases from inception to resolution.
- Policy Development: Assist clients in developing and implementing robust HR policies and procedures that comply with current employment legislation.
- Negotiation and Settlement: Handle negotiations and settlements in employment disputes, striving for outcomes that are in the best interest of the client.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Strategic Consultation: Liaise with HR professionals and business leaders on non-contentious, strategic employment law matters to support business objectives and compliance.
- Advocacy: Advocate on behalf of employer clients in legal proceedings, ensuring their interests are effectively represented and defended, and instructing counsel or barrister chambers where necessary.
