About the business:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a niche and professional Law Firm for a family department assistant to join their support team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and friendly team, with offices based in a suburban location with access to a staff car park.
This role is part of a well-established team, with a good work cultural and strong working relationships.
If successful, you will perform the following role as a Family Department Assistant:
Our client is seeking to recruit two Assistants to join their busy team. The successful applicants will have a background of working in the legal system and have excellent client management and administration skills. Prior experience working in a Family department would be preferable, but not essential, as training will be provided.
The job description for this role includes:
- Dealing with client queries in person and by telephone;
- Audio typing via the digital dictation system;
- Preparation of correspondence, court documents and invoices;
- Filing, photocopying and opening/closing client files in a timely manner;
- Maintaining and coordinating diaries and diary notes and reporting on these as necessary

- 12 months experience working in a similar environment as a secretary or assistant (essential)
- A strong standard of education
- Good administrative skills
