Role Overview:

  • Manage a varied caseload of family law matters including divorce, separation, child custody, financial disputes, cohabitation agreements, and domestic abuse cases.
  • Advise and represent clients in all areas of family law, both privately funded and legally aided.
  • Draft legal documents, including settlement agreements, witness statements, and court applications.
  • Negotiate effectively on behalf of clients to secure positive outcomes.
  • Attend court hearings, both at Family Court and higher courts when required.
  • Keep up-to-date with legal developments in family law and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide clear, empathetic, and practical legal advice to clients, guiding them through often challenging personal situations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to provide holistic support, including working with financial advisors and other specialists.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships by providing exceptional service and communicating effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including SRA standards and legal aid regulations where applicable.
